We’re both SONEs so I’m guessing that is how you found me. :)

My dad was in the military so we moved around quite a bit and my parents insisted that my siblings and I learnt the language of the nation we were living in, accounting for the Japanese and German skills. I took French and Spanish in middle school and Mandarin in high school. However, I don’t know how I came to have proficiency in English.

I’m nowhere near fluent in all six languages. English, Spanish, and French are the only ones I actively use. I would be wise to gain competency in Mandarin and Japanese considering my future career plans (U.S. Foreign Service/CIA) and brother’s Japanese fiancé. German is a great language if you want to sound aggressively passionate but I rarely speak it.
